Title: Force of Nature
Author: C.J. Box
Genre: Suspense
Synopsis: The main character, Joe, is a forest ranger with a friend who is running from a rogue government agent with whom he used to be a colleague. Set in Northern Wyoming in a fictional town called Twelve Sleep. Joe tries to keep his family from being a target for the rogue agent while also trying to help his friend. A bit violent, but nothing most people couldn't handle.
My rating: *** 1/2
I like this author especially since the setting of all his books is the part of Wyoming where George grew up.

  1. My latest purchases on my ereader: The Biography of Ben Franklin; Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation: the Pox Party. Just finished: Stephen King's "Full Dark; No Stars" five short novellas in typical King style. Disturbing but ultimately readable. I've begun reading Octavian Nothing; it's set just before the American Revolution. (fictional history)

  2. I just finished "The Kitchen House". In spite of the violence of the period, I found it hard to put down as the plot developed.

  3. I re-read Map of the World by Jane Hamilton. I had read it before, couldn't quite remember it so once more around the park! It's about a school nurse who is accused of child molestation. There is plenty of drama in her life even before she's hit with this charge. The story is written from multiple points of view which is an interesting device. Do we ever really know what is going on in our friends' or spouses' minds or private lives? What they think of us is none of our business, but still...
